Set inclusive reading activities for homework

It's super simple to get your pupils set up for learning with Rockerbox News at home.

To encourage usage at home we have our Rockerbox News Parent Pack. This pack is full of information about our platforms and a letter to send home to parents and carers.

Strengthening Home-School Links

Rockerbox News provides a free mobile and tablet app in addition to website access, to help promote and improve family engagement and accessibility. Supporting family involvement in reading can have a significant impact on improving reading skills and enjoyment. With the Rockerbox News app, your pupils can access their personalised reading platform anytime or anywhere (as long as they have wifi!), meaning they can grab their device and independently explore the platforms.

As an educator, you have the ability to create tasks and assign articles for your pupils to complete at home using Rockerbox News. You can also track their engagement and progress through the Rockerbox News teacher dashboard, just like you do for everything they do in school.

By setting tasks, you are able to gather more data and gain insights into your pupils' learning progress through question-level analysis, which helps identify areas of comprehension gaps. Find out more here.

Setting Your Pupils a task

Setting a task through your Teacher Dashboard is super simple and we have designed it to save you time too!

Find out how to create a task, and more here.

Why not save time and set a week, half-term, or even a whole term's worth of homework at once, it's super easy to schedule when your tasks will drop into your pupil's platforms!

Have you completed Step 9 and are confident in setting tasks for your pupils? Move on to the final step, Step 10!
