The Rockerbox News Crew is our youth advisory board.
The News Crew's goal is to ensure we stay true to holding young people at the heart of everything we do. It's also a great way to empower your reluctant readers and give them ownership over what they're reading.
You're invited to nominate two pupils each term (per class) to participate.
How does it work?
- Each term you can nominate two members of each Rockerbox class to become part of your school's News Crew.
- Your News Crew members will receive a questionnaire each term via their teacher. The questions will differ each time and relate to different topics we're considering covering and features we want to develop.
- The News Crew's job is to collect feedback from their class (they might create a survey or host a discussion - it's completely up to them).
- Your News Crew will then feedback to the Rockerbox team via their teacher or during an option online meeting with our founders. Online meetings are optional, but they allow your readers to develop confidence, communication skills, and business awareness as they share feedback from their class with the Rockerbox News team.
Members help us by:
- Being a voice for their class
- Providing insight into what young people want to read about
- Advising other young people on what to read and how to use Rockerbox News
Members will receive:
- A News Crew wristband - to be passed on to each new Crew member each term
- A News Crew participation certificate
How to organise your News Crew:
- Nominate your News Crew members for the term - a maximum of two members per Rockerbox News class
- Email your School Success Manager with the following details
- News Crew Leader's full name and email address (Teacher/SLT member leading the News Crew)
- Total number of News Crew members you have nominated in your school
- Wait for your first questionnaire to drop into your email inbox
- OPTIONAL: Arrange an online meeting between your News Crew and the Rockerbox Team by emailing your School Success Manager
